A Review: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

So as the title states this is a review.  To be honest, I wasn't really excited about the Naked 3 palette.  I saw photos and seen the YouTube videos from the people who received press samples and I wasn't impressed.

I have both the original Naked palette and the Naked 2 palette and my love for them has diminished, so I didn't see how this palette was going to be any different.  Now the first few reviews that I viewed were from people with fair skin, I'm a brown girl and I needed to see the review from another brown girl. Once I did, I still wasn't in love.  It wasn't until I seen some swatches on Instagram, that I realized that I NEEDED this palette.

I had obviously missed the first launch, and I when I tried to purchase it during the second Urban Decay launch, it was also sold out.  So I asked for it for Christmas, but as a makeup enthusiasts, I didn't want to wait.  Once I swatched it in Sephora, I was officially in LOVE. I did receive it as a Christmas gift :)

I have been on a rose gold kick for many months, the color just compliments my skin tone so well.  Most of the colors in this palette are great swatched and look great on.  I had seen many reviews where it had been stated that this is not brown girl friendly.  While a few of the first colors in the palette really don't compliment our skin tone well, the other colors are great.

The only real problem with this palette is the amount of fallout, no matter what I do, how many times I tap my brush off, I always have fallout.  This happens mainly with Trick and Buzz, I haven't had any problems with any of the other shadows. The formulation of Trick could have been so much better.  This color would have been the "star" of this palette, as it is a beautiful rose gold hued color.  But as I stated above, it has terrible fallout and it just doesn't feel as soft as the other shadows

Strange, Dust, Burnout,Limit, Buzz, Trick, Nooner, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, Darkside, Blackheart

The palette contains three matte shades, Strange, Limit and Nooner.  Three shimmer shades, Dust, Buzz and Trick.  The rest of the shades in the palette are a satin finish.  The palette retails for $52.00, comes with a dual ended brush and three generous samples of the four Urban Decay Primer Potions (Original, Sin, Eden and Anti-Aging).

I think it's safe to say that this is by far my favorite Naked palette, I have to stop myself from using it everyday.

Do you own the Naked 3 palette?  What are your thoughts? Leave a comment and let me know.

Lush The Boog Review

So I have been going Lush crazy every since the after Christmas sale.  I wanted to do a review on The Boog bath bomb, because I love it.  Currently Lush has 50% off all Christmas items, so you still might have a chance to pick this item up if you want to try it.  The 50% off is going on from now until January 19, 2011.

The snowman is filled with colorful tablets that add some fun to your bath, though after they finish fizzing the color disappears.   Its is described by Lush as "a jolly snowman full of colorful surprises and calming herbal fragrance."   I can't really describe the scent of this, but I will tell you this, it smells amazing.  The Boog is also very moisturizing, there is no need to apply anything to your skin after bathing with this.

Did I say that I loved the smell of this, it lingered in my bathroom for a long while and on my skin for even longer.  I wish I could buy a million of these and store them away, that's how much I like them :)

I couldn't take a good picture of my own boog because I already cut them all in half.  You can check out amarixe.com as she has pictures of how the ballistic looks in the actual water along with a review here.

Have you tried Lush's The Boog bath bomb?  Leave a comment and let me know what you think of it.

L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes

Hey all, I back, finally, with a review on L'Oreal's newest mascara.  I picked this mascara up from CVS about two weeks ago and the best thing is I only paid $1.07 for it.  You gotta love CVS' extrabucks program.

This is my very first time using any of L'oreal's mascara so I can't say if it is an improvement on the original Voluminous mascara.  What I can say is that I love this mascara to pieces.  I have been using it a lot lately.

It comes in a gold tube, which I must say is very sophisticated and different from my other tubes of mascara.  I love the way this mascara makes my lashes look, kind of like I have two rows of lashes on each eye.  I didn't experience any clumping and the application was pretty easy.

L'Oreal Volumminous Million Lashes in Very Black

The wand is rubber and it kind of reminds me of the wand that Rimmel using with it's Sexy Curves mascara minus the curves.  In the photos I applied two coats of the mascara.  I give this mascara a high rambling because I'm sure that everyone will definitely be saying good things about it.

L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes retails for $8.99 and you can find it at your local drugstore.
