NOTD Revlon Perplex

So I needed to give Seche Vite another try after my last nail of the day. I did not use Perplex as of yet, so I figured now was a good time to break it out.

This time I passed on a base coat and just used two coats of Perplex and then Seche Vite as the top coat. I must say that Perplex applies very smooth, which I really did not expect. Thumbs up to Revlon for a great color that applies wonderful and is very affordable.

I photographed my manicure three days in, and while there was some tip wear I didn't experience any chipping until about day six. This is pretty good for me considering that my manicures usually last two days top. So while I'm not completely sold on Seche Vite as of yet, it works okay for the moment.

NOTD Wet n Wild Blitzen & Shield

I haven't painted my nails in awhile, so on Saturday I decided to use Wet n Wild Shield along with Blitzen.  I figured that this would also be the perfect time to try out my Seche Vite top coat.  I have to say that I was very disappointed in how long my manicure lasted, which is usually the case.

I don't usually use a base coat on my nails, but this time I used my Sally Hansen maximum growth clear polish which was probably a big mistake.  By Sunday my nails looked horrible, chipped polish on practically every nail, smh.  I was very upset because I heard such good things about Seche Vite, however I'm going to try it again without the Sally Hansen polish and see how it works out.  I'm positive this top coat isn't receiving such high praise for no reason.

So here's my nails soon after polishing them.
Hopefully my next nail of the day won't be a big flop like this one was.  Do you own any of these Wet n Wild nail polishes?

Sally Hansen Purple Fiesta NOTD

I picked this nail polish up when Rite Aid had them for bogo 50% off.  I have to say that I really love this polish, it really looks like a party in a bottle, lol.

I didn't use a base, can someone recommend a good one?  I had the polish on for three days in the photos.  I used two coats of Purple Fiesta and N.Y.C. In a New York Color topcoat.

Like I said before I really like the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail polishes because my manicure lasts a little bit longer than it would with any other polish.  That's all for now, I hope you enjoyed.

NOTD: Confetti Debutante and Revlon Galaxy

Last night I went to CVS to spend some expiring Extrabucks.  Since CVS wasn't having any wonderful sales, I decided to pick up some of the Confetti nail polishes, which are $1.00 this week.

One of the colors that I picked up was Debutante, which is a champagne color.  I thought that I would pair it with Revlon's new topcoat in Galaxy.  I have to say that I loved the outcome.  The Confetti nail polish went on smooth with no streaking.  It says "long wearing" on the bottle, so I'm anxious to see how long it lasts on me.

Leave a comment and let me know if you own any Confetti polishes and which colors?  Do you own any of the new Revlon top coats?  I would love to hear what you think about either products.

Sally Hansen Purple Gala NOTD

This week at Rite Aid all Sally Hansen nail products are bogo 50% off. The Xtreme Wear nailpolishes are $2.99, but they also qualify for a single check rebate for $2.00 this week only. So in essence you get two bottles of nailpolish for only $2.48, not bad.

I painted my nails last night, but this morning is when I realized the awesomeness of this nailpolish. It's a unique purple color to me with a gold sheen to it. You will really appreciate the color in the sunlight, I don't think my photos do it much justice.

Let me know if you own any of the new Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nailpolishes and what you think about them. They say on the advertisement in the store that they are suppose to last up to seven days. I hope I can get to three, usually doesn't matter what type of nailpolish I use, I experience chipping in one day. I will update this post to let you guys know how long my manicure lasted. Until next time...

(Update: It was three days before I experienced any chipping, I used N.Y.C. In a New York minute topcoat.)

Orly Galaxy Girl Nail of the Day

I saw this nailpolish in CVS about a month ago and I had to have it. When I went back the other day there was only one in the display so I figured why not. I'm slowly turning into a nailpolish addict, smh. Where does it end?

I'm not sure if this is a dupe for MAC's Formidable, which is being released with the Venomous Villains collection on September 30, but it looks mighty close.

I used two coats of Galaxy Girl and then I used N.Y.C. In a New York Color Minute topcoat. I don't know if I said this before, but I hate polishing my own nails. Surprisingly I didn't have a problem with this polish, no streaking and even coverage. This is my first Orly polish and I must say that I love it. Orly nailpolish retails for $6.99 at CVS, I'm not sure is any of the other drugstores carry this brand.
