My $0.01 Rite Aid Trip

Milk & Honey, Citrus, Milk & Honey

Yesterday I went to Rite Aid again to pick up some of the Nivea lip balms that they currently have on sale 3 for $5.00.  When you purchase three you get $1.00 back in +up rewards.  The yes to carrots lip balm is also included in this promotion and I have been wanting to try them.

So I picked up two Nivea lip balms and one yes to carrots lip balm and like my title says I only paid $0.01 and I received $1.00 in +up rewards.  Here's how:  I had a Nivea bogo coupon, instead of taking the sale price of $1.67 off, the cashier took the original price of $2.99 off.  I also had $2.00 in +up rewards from a previous transaction, which I used.

So there you have it, my one cent shopping trip.  Have you purchased any of the Nivea lip balms this week at Rite Aid?  Leave a comment and let me know what you purchased.

L'oreal Go 360 Clean at Rite Aid

I'm not sure if you aware of this but L'oreal skin care is bogo 50% off this week at rite aid. You also get $5.00 back in +up rewards when you buy two.

I bought two of the go 360 clean cleansers and they rang up $3.59 each when the original price is $7.19. So they are ringing up as 50% off each which would be bogo free. There is a $1.00 coupon on coupons.com which you can print twice so that brings your total down to $5.19 and you still get the +up reward. So you are getting two facial cleansers for $0.19, my kind of deal.

I'm not sure if this goes for all of the go 360 clean or just this particular one.

Sally Hansen Purple Gala NOTD

This week at Rite Aid all Sally Hansen nail products are bogo 50% off. The Xtreme Wear nailpolishes are $2.99, but they also qualify for a single check rebate for $2.00 this week only. So in essence you get two bottles of nailpolish for only $2.48, not bad.

I painted my nails last night, but this morning is when I realized the awesomeness of this nailpolish. It's a unique purple color to me with a gold sheen to it. You will really appreciate the color in the sunlight, I don't think my photos do it much justice.

Let me know if you own any of the new Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nailpolishes and what you think about them. They say on the advertisement in the store that they are suppose to last up to seven days. I hope I can get to three, usually doesn't matter what type of nailpolish I use, I experience chipping in one day. I will update this post to let you guys know how long my manicure lasted. Until next time...

(Update: It was three days before I experienced any chipping, I used N.Y.C. In a New York minute topcoat.)

N.Y.C. Blushable Creme Sticks

Last week Rite Aid was having a great sale on cosmetics. All N.Y.C. products were bogo free, so I picked up two of the blushable creme sticks. I am slowly, but surely adding to my blush collection. These cost $3.99 each, so I got them both for about $2.00 each.

I bought Berry New Yorker and Big Apple Blush (I love the names of these). In the store I was rushing and these two kind of looked similar, as you will see in my swatches.

I wore Berry New Yorker the other day and it gave me dark pink flush and it lasted for about five hours, which is good considering that my skin is still a little oily. I think that Berry New Yorker would be a great base for R&R's Seduce blush.

These are a pretty good for the price and from what I saw at Rite Aid they come in a good range of colors. The color pigmentation is very good and so is the staying power. Have you purchased any of the N.Y.C. Blushable Creme Sticks, if so leave a comment and let me know how you like them.

Drugstore Shopping

This week Rite Aid has some pretty decent deals on makeup especially with the coupons in this past Sunday's paper. There was a $2.00 coupon for Color Sensational lipstick and RA had all Maybelline cosmetics for 40% off.

I also stopped in Duane Reade for no particular reason and I saw the N.Y.C.'s Berry Bloom display. This is my first time seeing this collection so I picked up two items.

I didn't open the N.Y.C. products yet, but I will do a review and swatches very soon. The lipgloss with the flower design is so pretty, the color is Rose Kiss. It retails for $2.99. The custom compact is in Berry Bloom, this is my second N.Y.C. palette. The palettes retail for $4.99.

I love Caramel Kiss lipstick, it is a pink nude with gold shimmer. I haven't worn Wined & Dined as of yet. I'm scared of red lipstick, so I'm trying to branch out a little. I can't wait to wear it. That is all for now. Let me know if you picked up anything from Rite Aid this week, next week is suppose to be a good week at RA as well :) Until next time...

Rite Aid Shopping

Last week, I went to Rite Aid to pick up some Wet n Wild items which were bogo free. Since I already owned the Lust, Greed and Vanity palettes, I figured I might as well have the Pride palette as well, lol. So I picked that up along with three of the Craze nailpolishes.

The nailpolishes are colors for Fall in my opinion. I picked up Goldmine, Shield and Rustic, I haven't used them yet so I can't really comment on them. However, I did use them on the little one with no topcoat and it lasted for about three days.

I must say that the Pride palette did not disappoint me like the Greed palette did. The shadows in this palette have great color payoff. Perhaps I should have bought this one to begin with.

Pride palette matte side, shimmer side.

So that's all for right now. Let me know if you own any of the Wet n Wild Craze nailpolishes, I would love to hear what you think about them. Until next time...

Wet n Wild Coloricon Nail Polish

So, while I was at Rite Aid a few days ago, I came across a Wet n Wild Coloricon display filled with little cute nail polishes. I'm guessing that these polishes are for the Fall as they are all dark with different color glitter inside. I wanted to buy two, but the cheapskate in me prevailed and I only bought one. Good thing too, because this week at Rite Aid Wet n Wild products are on sale BOGO 50% off, plus when you buy two products you receive $1.00 back in +Up Rewards. Hopefully I can get to Rite Aid tonight or tomorrow to pick up more of the nail polishes. They cost $1.99 and the bottle is very, very small. I picked up Prowler because it reminded me of the MAC Young Punk MES (mineralize eyeshadow) that I didn't buy last year from the Style Black collection. I am still distraught over that, but hopefully one of these days I finally find it again. So I took some pictures of the nail polish on my nails, but you are being warned beforehand that I almost NEVER paint my own nails and when I looked at these pictures on my camera they looked fine, but on here you can see the mistakes that I made. The first photo is without flash and the second is with. To me this particular polish looked like it dried to a matte finish, but I really don't know anything about nail polishes, so I can't be certain. Another thing is that it takes a little bit of scrubbing to remove, but I think that happens with most nail polishes that contain glitter. Overall, I am most definitely going to purchase more of these, I was eyeing the orange, it was actually a toss up between that and the purple, but in the end Prowler won, lol.

Rite Aid Trip

So today is suppose to be the hottest day of the year here in new york. I seriously hate the heat, I turn into a uber not so nice person. However, I needed to use a Up Reward that was expiring today, so I headed out to Rite Aid in the nasty humid weather. I picked up two of the Revlon Photo Ready Foundations. This is my first time using foundation, I'm scared of it. I don't want to look as if I have makeup on or pickup the wrong color and just look like a hot mess. So I have stayed away from it thus far. I picked up 011 Cappuccino and 010 Caramel so that I can mix them together because the Cappuccino looks too red, I could be wrong, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. So these were 13.99 and all Revlon products were 40% off so they came out to 8.39 and you receive a $4.00 Up Reward when you purchase $10.00 worth of Revlon products. I thought there was a $2.00 coupon somewhere, but I couldn't find it so I settled for $1.00 coupon in last week's paper. I also purchased some Crest 3D toothpaste on sale for $2.99 and receive a $1.50 Up Reward, I also had $1.00 coupon for the toothpaste. I also had a $7.99 single check rebate for last months rebates. So after my rebate coupons and expiring Up Reward (which was for $1.00) I ended up paying $10.53 and I received $5.50 back in Up Rewards. I love that Rite Aid has started this program, it is very similar to CVS's Extrabucks program which I am completely in love with. After I have used the foundation for a while I will definitely review it, I hope it doesn't disappoint me. Until next time...
