My $0.01 Rite Aid Trip

Milk & Honey, Citrus, Milk & Honey

Yesterday I went to Rite Aid again to pick up some of the Nivea lip balms that they currently have on sale 3 for $5.00.  When you purchase three you get $1.00 back in +up rewards.  The yes to carrots lip balm is also included in this promotion and I have been wanting to try them.

So I picked up two Nivea lip balms and one yes to carrots lip balm and like my title says I only paid $0.01 and I received $1.00 in +up rewards.  Here's how:  I had a Nivea bogo coupon, instead of taking the sale price of $1.67 off, the cashier took the original price of $2.99 off.  I also had $2.00 in +up rewards from a previous transaction, which I used.

So there you have it, my one cent shopping trip.  Have you purchased any of the Nivea lip balms this week at Rite Aid?  Leave a comment and let me know what you purchased.

Coastal Scents Fall Festival Palette

A few weeks ago, I received an email from Coastal Scents letting me know that their newest palettes were back in stock.  The email also stated that the palettes would be 33% off, because I believe they sold out either on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, I'm not completely sure.

Anyhow, I have been eyeing the Fall Festival palette since I first saw it on the site.  So I figured with it being 33% off, I might as well get it.  This is my second palette from Coastal Scents, I also own Creative Me #1, which I'm not completely crazy about.

The palette does not come assembled, the pots come in a plastic case, so you can pretty much set the palette up the way that you want.  I love the colors, the are fall type colors, but also neutral.  The eyeshadows are very soft, but not crumbly soft.  I can't speak on how the wear, blend, etc. because I haven't used them yet.

Swatches without flash in the same order as above.

I must say, that even though I have not used the palette yet, I'm sure I will not be disappointed.  They colors swatched with one swipe and they have good color pigmentation.

Do you own the Coastal Scents Fall Festival palette?  If so leave a comment and let me know what you think about it.

L'oreal Go 360 Clean at Rite Aid

I'm not sure if you aware of this but L'oreal skin care is bogo 50% off this week at rite aid. You also get $5.00 back in +up rewards when you buy two.

I bought two of the go 360 clean cleansers and they rang up $3.59 each when the original price is $7.19. So they are ringing up as 50% off each which would be bogo free. There is a $1.00 coupon on coupons.com which you can print twice so that brings your total down to $5.19 and you still get the +up reward. So you are getting two facial cleansers for $0.19, my kind of deal.

I'm not sure if this goes for all of the go 360 clean or just this particular one.

More Sephora Shopping

What can I say, I'm a sucker.  Sephora sent out gift cards to the Beauty Insiders, I got one for $15.00 off a $40.00 purchase.  I wanted to try Urban Decay Deslick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray, so I purchased that.

I also picked up one of the Nars Lip gloss duo in Orgasm/Hustler, along with the lip gloss/lip stain duo in Turkish Delight/Sayonara.  Both duos were $10.00 and I didn't want to miss out on another Nars $10.00 deal like I did with the eyeshadow duos.  I also picked up one of the dollar Sephora eye liners in Forest Green.

What did you purchase with your gift card?

Style Snob FOTD

I actually had to time to do a full face of makeup this morning.  By full face I mean applying eyeshadow.  I haven't used MAC Style Snob eyeshadow in a long while, I decided to pair it with Sketch in the crease.

I completely forgot how nice of a nude My Mahogany is and pairing it with the Revlon gloss gives it a little bit of shine.  I have a lot of lips products that I need to use up, so they might be repetitive for a few of my fotd's.

Sephora, Again

So Sephora is really killing my pockets with all of these sales that they are having.  First it was the Friends and Family, VIB sale and this past week they sent out a giftcard to the Beauty Insiders, sigh.

This particular post will focus on the VIB sale from about two weeks ago.  I didn't purchase any makeup I'm proud to say.  I have been eyeing DKNY Be Delicious perfume for about three months now, so I figured this would be a good time to purchase it.

They had a gift set that included two mini DKNY Be Delicious and two DKNY Be Delicious Fresh.  I also picked up Philosophy melting marshmallow body wash/bubble bath/shampoo and a small Sephora brush cleaner.

This is my first time trying a Philosophy product and I LOVE it.  Melting Marshmallow smells delightful and the bubbles last for a decent amount of time.  It doesn't leave a film on the skin, which is also a plus.  The only thing that will prevent me from purchasing this product again is the price.  $16.00 is alot for a bubble bath, especially when I can get products that I like free or close enough to it from the drugstores.  So I considered this a treat to myself and hopefully I can try out other products at a discounted price.

I have been using the Sephora brush cleaner to spot clean my brushes, so I figured I would purchase another bottle.  I haven't been deep cleaning my brushes as often, so this has been a lifesaver for me.  I mix it with water to make it last a little longer.

Did any of you purchase anything from the VIB sale?  If so, leave a comment and let me know what you purchased.

CVS Shopping

Last week I picked up a few things that were on sale at CVS. Milani products were bogo 50% off and they had the new baked eyeshadows so I picked one up.

I picked up the baked eyeshadows in famous duo and a glitter nail polish in gold glitz. Famous reminds me of the mineralize eyeshadow from the MAC Rodarte collection which was never released. It swatches as a silver with reddish pink glitter. It was the most unique one for me. The eyeshadow retails for $7.49, but I'm not completely sure about that because I misplaced my receipt.

I also picked up another EOS lipbalm in Summer Fruit as CVS had them for $2.99 and you received $2.99 back in extrabucks. I love these things so if I can get them for free I'm more than happy.

Wet n Wild Snow Sprite FOTD

Hey ladies, I'm trying to get back into the groove of things with posting, but it's hard cause I'm completely exhausted most of the time.  The semester is almost done, so that should help a little.  Speaking of being tired, I'm sorry in advance for how tired I actually look in these photos.  Seeing is surely believing and I don't remember being that tired on this particular day, but a picture is worth a thousand words.

So I finally found the courage to go out of my comfort zone, I don't usual post looks like this, because I'm in a neutral rut at the moment.  Let me know what you think.  Also I did my makeup before I actually got dressed, so this is not the shirt that I wore.
